Along the Ridge
"Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Walk beside me that we may be as one." - Native American Ute Tribe
Shot along a ridge that over looks the east side of the City of Burlington and on a clear day lets you see all the way in to Hamilton. The way the fog created these alternating layers of tone and color from tree line to tree line caught my eye while my companion and I enjoyed a hot thermos of coffee and watched the lingering fog disappear.
On the way back to the car we discussed hickory nuts with a gentleman who could have doubled for Santa Claus at the drop of a hat. He was walking the ridge with his fittingly named canine companion snowball (white and small) gathering glass bottle to trade in for a hand full of dimes down in the city.
