Ban Illegal Prague Train Stations

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." - Winston Churchill

Can someone explain to me how one goes about banning something that is illegal? You see, with the election but a few days away and a closely contested race some of the candidates have been throwing this phrase around; "We will ban illegal hand guns". I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer and those that actually read this blog and don't just look at the pictures can probably attest to that. However I am sure that once something is decreed as being illegal it is, in fact, banned. You know what; let's pull out the ol' trust dictionary on this one...

illegal ( -l g l) adj.
1. Prohibited by law.
2. Prohibited by official rules: an illegal pass in football.
3. Unacceptable to or not performable by a computer: an illegal operation.

ban b n) tr.v.
1. To prohibit, especially by official decree.
2. An excommunication or condemnation by church officials.
3. A prohibition imposed by law or official decree: a ban on cigarette smoking on airplanes.
4. Censure, condemnation, or disapproval expressed especially by public opinion.

Hmm... Would seem that some folks vying for the position of Grand Poobah of our nation don't even have a solid grasp on its official language with all of its compi-la'ma'cations. Well yabadabadoo doesn't that just get your hopes up for our future.

Photographed from the perspective of a small yappy dog inside the Prague train station. Waited among throngs of eager travelers as cold damp air was tunneled through its arc shaped structure sending a light chill along my spine. I think I shared my hat with Lucy, which is why I was ill prepared, I don't remember though.

So a "ban" should only apply to "legal" hand guns. But if they are "legal", it would seem that "banning" them would be "illegal". Ohhhh! My head hurts!
