Groceries on Street 04
"Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses." - George Washington Carver
I'm trying to get back to this blog — I swear. Since returning from Europe over a month ago it has been one thing or another that has afforded me excuses as to why I couldn't or wouldn't post. The excuses are valid, but really I should just get off my keester and post something, right?
Currently my D70 is buggy and opting to not write files to the CF card more often then write. After some exploratory surgery I have narrowed it down to, what seems to me at least, a loose and very "play filled" CF card writer mechanism. Wiggle left, wiggle right and you get to keep what you shot but there is no guarantee and that is no way to shoot. For those of you in the film world this would be the equivalent of being handed a roll of film and being told only one in three frames would deliver a picture and it would be completely random. Fun I know...
The above photograph was one of those "might be neat" moments. An older aged woman bringing home the groceries on a Friday juxtaposed against some piss poor graffiti. The graffiti is in English but the picture was shot in the Czech Republic, go figure.
