Train Station Bound
"Do not choose your wife at a dance, but in the field among the harvesters" - Czech Proverb
I woke up early to go shoot Sumperk on a holiday morning. It was about the only time I could get some city shots with few to no people around. On my trip back to the apartment I caught this photograph.
I was watching a mother and her child make their way to the path that leads to Sumperk's train station. Mom stopped to fix the little ones jacket or pants at about the right moment and perfect framing. My only beef with the shot is the blurred person in the distant background. When I have time I will see if I can edit that out for a big print.
Hopefully more shooting today.
On a side note I was interviewed by Daniel Ferris, an American currently living in Ukraine. Oddly we are closer now in terms of geography then when I responded to his questions. It's nothing exciting but you are welcome to check it out and the other great photographers and artists featured there. Click Here

I suppose the large fuzzy man could be taken out and it would make a better framing of the mother and child. But to me, he adds a bit of mystery.

What a wonderful photo. I like the fuzzy man. The focus is all on the mother and her child.

I like the nearer man, but I agree the distant one would be better gone.

This is beautiful, with or without the man in the background.
