Saint Nick Apprenticeship Program

"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other." - Burton Hillis

It's a lesser known fact when it comes to the Saint Nicolas Apprenticeship Program (also known as S.N.A.P.) that the apprentice gets all the dirty jobs. Much like a Sous Chef a Saint Nick Apprentice is responsible for all the production work that makes Christmas, well, Christmas. Part of this whole mess is chimney inspection and maintenance. The nights leading up to Christmas the Saint Nick Apprentice can be found scouring the roofs and subsequently chimneys of the world making sure that all is up to snuff before Saint Nicks big day. So my hat off to S.N.A.P programs and all those behind the scenes that make Christmas possible.

Merry Christmas everyone...

Oh, that could also be my father on the roof installing the needed 6” liner that bring his new fireplace insert up to code, but I like my version better.

P.S. To all the men and women serving in the military, humanitarian relief efforts or any other capacity that has you serving others away from your homes and family. May God bless you for your efforts and keep your hearts strong - and I, personally, salute you.

Paul Sveda

Enjoy that Nikkon D80, that's a great place to start. My suggestion is to read that manual backwards and forwards and learn about curves and shooting in M, A and S modes.

Have a Great New Year.

Cheers,

Paul

You've chosen the perfect caption for this image, Paul. The geometry is what draws me in. It's almost perfect in its overall sense of balance and form.
