Happy New Year
"New Year's eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights." - Hamilton Wright Mabie
With just over a year of photo blogging, 40k worth of unique visitors (small potatoes for some) and a plethora of positive feed back. I want to say thank you to everyone who has given me support in person or through comments and those who visit in silence and just enjoy the photos. I started photo blogging for myself, a way to encourage myself to keep at the photography thing even on those less than inspirational days. The fact that some people out there enjoy it is just gravy on the mashed potatoes.
I also want to thank Pearl @ pagehalffull.com & Chris at myspace.com for the nominations for a few best-of blog things. You can find links to them under "friends" and if you visit here and link to this blog then I would be happy to reciprocate. Just leave me a note through the contact form or post a comment.
New Years Resolutions for this blog in no particular order.

- Sell Prints (this one is really tentative)
A photograph of a young man taking a leap into the cold waters of Georgian Bay from the cliffs of the Bruce National Park. I had climbed out and hung off the ledge of the rock as he ran a leapt past me. I couldn't convince him to take a second try at it, not that I can blame him.

What a lovely resolutions list - quite do-able - and the quote by Mabie is a nice touch.

Wow! cool photo. I have to say, as much as I like to dabble with the camera I'm not sure I could get myself out on a ledge to snap a photo. :) Good job.
Michele sent me tonight. Happy New Year

If the water is as cold as it looks, I don't blame him for not jumping in twice either.
Thank you for all the great pictures and the wallpapers. Have a great year!
