A half second exposure of the fireworks display over Hamilton harbor on July 3rd

Happy Canada Day 2006

To sum up the last month and a bit of not posting I have written you a meager haiku...

Two weeks to move out
Camera and floor, abrupt stop;
Waiting on Nikon

So I set out to snap some photographs during this long weekend's firework displays.

Good news is I am trying to get back on the horse with all this.

Nikon D70 | 640 | 1/2 | f6.3

  • Lens: Nikon 50mm f/1.4D
  • Flash: None
  • Tripod: Cameron wt006t & Manfrotto 322RC2 head
  • Lighting: Ambient Sunlight
  • Post Pro: Levels & Color Balance
  • Weather: Partly Cloudy
  • Time of Day: Night
  • Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

yeah - i was getting tired of loading the Water Drops pic everyday... not tired of the pic though... it was well worth viewing once a day (its in my open tabs... you'd get it if ya'd read my web log - not saying you should read it, but ... well... nevermind)...

Sorry about the camera. I just have a little Canon purse size but I bent it somehow and now the case separates if I'm not careful. As long as it keeps working.
Your fireworks turned out much nicer than mine. But practice makes perfect, right?

Beautiful pic P., as are they all. I just wanted to thank you publicly for an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable Canada Day holiday at your place. You wrecked all three of us travellers and we were none too happy to be on the plane that night for Germany after the hospitality you heaped on us!
