seeds cling fervently to their pod. Nature Photography, Fall Photography, Autumn Photography

Scattering Abroad

"For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad." - Edwin Way Teale

Discovered a new field after crossing a damp trail along now barren woods, old fences and weed infested dirt suggested a farmer's field that lay dormant this past year. Among it all natures aerobatic team of seeds clung fervently to their pod. As if they were waiting to catch that perfect wind.

Great picture. Just looking at it makes me want to sneeze. The wispy white fur looks like my cat's fur.

I love how defiance always manages to find its way to the surface in nature.

You've once again managed to take our collective breath away. Gorgeous shot.

I think God has a lot to teach us through the natural world. Its both a violent and beautifull place that, even if we are ignorant to the fact, continues to run its course without the need for man.

It also offers a lot of lessons about the un-fair nature of life. Where not every plant and animal recieves the same opportunity but yet somehow thrives without whining.

cheers
