If you look at the photo there is a small thrill seeker surfing the leaf and casting a shadow.

Playing with my new lens in the backyard. Having bought it on Saturday I really have not been given the opportunity to just go shoot. I am hopeful that maybe mid week or on the weekend I can afford an opportunity.

Great shot as always. Have you thought about making the "Dusk across the road" into a desktop? I keep going back to that picture.

I like that, especially the range of light levels in which you have held detail. How much battery power does the VR feature of the lens take?

SRP - I'll get "Dusk across the road" made into a desktop ASAP. I'm actualy re-working the desktop area of the site to be more category driven so you might have to just wait a week or two more.

DICK - I've only had the VR mode set to normal not active which is the less aggressive of the two. I have also only recently attached the lens to the camera and haven't had a chance to run it on a full battery so I am not sure. I can say though that there is a slightly quicker drain in MHO, but I will know a little more after this fresh battery is sucked dry.

Oh and I am a bit slow in the head. You were right mum, thats not a shadow so much as two mosquito-hawks mating.

Thanks for stopping by.

cheers,

P.
