Take My Picture

"I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it." - Pablo Picasso

Turn around and press the shutter release was about all the time I had to capture this moment on a strangers camera, before the moment was gone. I had been shooting another butterfly when I got a tap on my shoulder to see the butterfly resting on the camera. I am not too happy with the fact that the depth of field was shallow (f6.3) and blurs the right wing of the butterfly. I could have easily sacrificed a little shutter more speed for more f-stop and afforded a darker shot as is evident by the reflective blow out on the camera.

At a moment like that, you've got to be quick on the trigger.

Paul, thanks for the visit. we put a dish of tuna under the tree where he could see it on the first day - and that was not lure enough for the cat. I am sure he will come down eventually.

A beautiful butterfly photo, as are all of yours!
