a small green frog on a rubber plant leaf. Animal photography, macro photography, animal photograph, macro photograph

Its not easy being green

"We think too small, like the frog at the bottom of the well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced, he would have an entirely different view." - Mao Zedong (aka Mao Tse-Tung)

Hot enough? Well, damp and hot enough for this little frog to be found resting on one of the broad leaves on mom's rubber plant (not sure if it is a true rubber plant). I spent a little time chasing this thumb-finger-nail sized amphibian from one leaf to another all the while adjusting the tripod for a good shot.

This shot was followed by one more before the frog executed a graceful back flip off the leaf and to the ground below. Obviously this finicky model was done with the shoot.

I really like the difference in the greens. sometimes the smallest things can make us smile and remind us that there is more to life than ourselves.
Glad that you are also posting regularly.
