Emerald Tree Boa
"The snake stood up for evil in the Garden" - Robert Frost
This was a tough shot and low light conditions and ISO already at 800 made it harder, especially since I forgot my monopod at home. This freshly wet Emerald tree boa was one of many carefully coiled atop a tree branch.
I am off to shoot the fest today and add more photos to the Ribfest gallery.
Have a great weekend all.

I think the green is lovely. But I usually avoid the reptile house at the zoo. I really just don't like snakes.

Hey Paul, really enjoy this shot. I can appreciate the level of difficulty here. 800 did add a ton of grain, but this isn't exactly a bad thing.. I think it enhances and mimics the roughness of the reptiles skin. However, it would be interesting to see how the image would look despeckled or softened with pro software. Regards,
