Copper Wings

"The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough." - Rabindranath Tagore

I've just had some really positive comments from people on this blog over the past 14 days and even a few e-mails in the ol' inbox. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind words and positive remarks. However it was Mike from Exscientia who reminded me that some people hit this site in hopes of an image that might add something to their day. So in that regard I've been seriously behind on getting new posts up. They get written and stored in Word and the picture downloaded to my drives. However it's as if I can't cross that digital finish line and get the stuff up. So I'm just going to try and pick up that ball again and run with it. It's really all I can do...

I second Lauren's post. This butterfly is exquisite and the previous portrait is wonderful. I can almost hear your subject's thoughts.

So glad to have you back.

Paul, your pictures are absolutely breathtaking! I was really into photography a little when I was in high school and more so when I was in college, but I just can't find the time for it anymore. You have to have a certain way that you look at the world to be able to take great photographs, and I think that all of yours are beautiful. You have a wonderful way in which you see the world. I really love this butterfly picture too. The vibrant orange really stands out against the green in the background.

Beautiful pictures, Paul. Whatever compliments you receive are very much deserved.

This is an outstanding shot. I like the fact that he/she is upside-down, it makes the shot different and interesting.
And great detail and colors too. I wish the two bright white areas were gone though, especially the lower of them steals attention from the object.
