A Garden Detail
"God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done." - Author Unknown
Long day of driving around ahead of me; perfect excuse to pack up the camera bag and maybe, if I am lucky, steal a moment to shoot.
Flowers, not sure of the species, growing along the west side of our home.

If the leaves are mounded close to the ground and a dark green or variegated green and white, and if the flowers are rather small, it may be hosta. The flower stalks project high above the main plant. It loves shade and though it appears to die back each winter, they return and eventuall form almost bush-like structures. The flowers are lily-like, small, and ours are white or very light lavender.

SRP you are dead spot on and about the third person to tell me what flower it was. We have a row of hostas growing along the west side walkway of the house. They are generaly unimpressive untill their flower stalks start to grow and bloom. I think ours are pretty close to the coloring of yours.
cheers,
Paul

The textures you've captured on the petals are just so.. organic and life-like! It's like I can feel them in between my fingertips. Love it!
