"We are only beginning to learn what to say in a photograph. The world we live in is a succession of fleeting moments, any one of which might say something significant." - Alfred Eisenstaedt
This was more or less a jump out of the car even though you are late and take the picture moment. Something about the colors caught my eye and made me quickly pull over a take a few shots before rushing on my way.
The desktops area of the site has been updated. All the pictures are far from being up but some new ones are present and some old ones are missing that regular visitors might be used to. However they are organized and broken into categories and the drop down menu should be working for almost everyone.

Hi Paul. I always feel guilty when I stop to shoot something when logic dictates that I should be instead rushing to my destination. But that emotional obsession with capturing the scene always seems to override the rational clock-driven thought process.
I'm so glad you've taken the time to write about this. Now I don't feel quite so alone!
You have a great way of capturing landscapes. This one has such a dramatic interplay between the dense clouds and the bucolic grasses below. I definitely have to go shooting with you someday!
I'm seeing the dropdowns just fine. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.7.

I was struck by all the horizontal lines in this photo, which make it so restful and peaceful, Paul.

Thank you Carmi. I long ago stopped feeling guilty about catching the moment. I have been a full hour late for work before because of an early morning snowfall that left the world frosted.
Now I just wonder what other individuals think as they drive by me with my camera in hand. I figure most wonder what exactly am I seeing that its worth getting out of my car for.
Thanks for stopping by all.
Cheers,
Paul Sveda
