Georgian Bays waters disappear at the horizon. Landscape Photography, Scenic Photography, Nature Photography, Georgian Bay Photography

Georgian Bay

"Life has loveliness to sell, all beautiful and splendid things, blue waves whitened on a cliff, soaring fire that sways and sings, and children's faces looking up, holding wonder like a cup." - Sara Teasdale

Stretching into the mist, Georgian Bays waters disappear at the horizon where ghostly shadows of distant islands loom. The rugged beauty of the cliffs provides a stark contrast to the always blue and mostly clear cool waters below. The temperature of the water on this day was a balmy 16 degrees Celsius, definitely a refreshingly cool dip for the few that dared to go in...

Holy crap. That's an amazing picture, Paul. I can relate to the temperature. Some of my best kayaking pictures were taken on very cold water just before dawn. The fog rising off the water as the pre-dawn sun starts to warm the air can be so beautiful.

I can see the gulls soaring drafts over that cliff. It would be a wonderful perch for watching birds, feeling wind. If I put my eyes close to the screen and squint, I'm there. Thank you Paul.

Oh, and Michele sent me with her dainty point.
