A Lake at Hilton Falls
"A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. " - Henry David Thoreau
It's been one of the hottest summer on record, or so the experts tell me. I really shouldn't need their insight however, the parched lawns, plus thirty afternoons that seem to never cease and dwindling creeks are evidence enough. The weather is also a perfect breeding ground for those insects that regard me as a tasty treat, should I be brave enough to hike through the local forests. So its archival photos for you folks and you'll enjoy them. I mean, I enjoy photography, but not for the price of a silver dollar sized bug bite on my forehead.
